Tuition
Tuition is based on a month-to-month or semester payment plan. Tuition is non-refundable. Tuition DOES NOT include Material Fees. Tuition includes 46 lessons per calendar year.
Supply Fees
A supply fee is applied every six months. This takes care of Lesson books or materials that are given during the 6 month period. The drums and horns are excluded. The material fee will be debited with their tuition on the first of the month in March and September.
Private Lessons - $20 material fee.
Monthly Tuition Payments
Tuition payment is set up by recurring ACH or credit card processed the 1st of each month. In the event that a payment is returned and not paid by the 5th of the month, a $25 fee will be incurred. In order to cancel recurring tuition payments, notice in writing needs to be submitted within 30 days of the draft date.
Refer-a-Student Policy
A $10 credit will be applied to the referrers account for every individual paid student enrollment. The credit will be applied on the billing cycle following the month of the paid referee enrollment. There is no limit to the number of Refer-a-Student credits a referrer can receive.
Lesson Cancellation Policy
In order to be eligible for a makeup lesson, the studio needs to be notified by at least 9 AM on the day of the lesson. Please make sure you contact us by email at curiouschordsmusic@gmail.com, or by phone at (512) 268-0166 to cancel a lesson.
"Reschedule" Policy
Students eligible for a makeup lesson, may attend an alternative lesson per the following schedule:
Make up lessons will be offered one Saturday per semester.
Make up lessons may be private or group lessons.
Students will only be allowed 2 make up lessons per semester due to instructor availability.
No refunds permitted for missed lessons. In the event that an instructor cancels a lesson, an equivalent make-up lesson will be provided by the end of the semester.
It is the customer’s responsibility to request a makeup lesson. Customers understand that they must pay for all missed lessons whether a rescheduled lesson date/time was provided or not. If a rescheduled lesson is missed, the student will forfeit that lesson time.
Lesson Substituion
Curious Chords Music Studio will always attempt to find a substitute instructor in the event that your normal instructor is unable to attend the lesson. Having a substitute teacher does not authorize a student to reschedule or cancel their regular music lesson.
Schedule Changes
From time-to-time, we may need to modify - temporarily or permanently - a student’s regular lesson time/date. If this becomes necessary, a mutually agreeable alternative lesson time/date will be found. Curious Chords Music Studio reserves the right to modify, change, or alter all students’ schedule if necessary.
Late Arrivals
All students shall be available to start their lessons at the designated date and time. Please arrive early to ensure that your lesson will begin on time. Students arriving late will have their lesson shorted to allow the next lesson to begin on time. There are no refunds or credits for students arriving late.
Inclement Weather
In the event of school closures due to inclement weather, please visit our website and look for emails about studio closures.
Refusal of Service
Curious Chords Music Studio reserves the right to refuse service to any students. Curious Chords Music Studio reserves the right to teach all students based on its methods, procedures and policies.
Liability Waiver
Customers/students agrees to waive any claim or claims of liability against Curious Chords Music Studio for any injury whatsoever, either out of accident, illness, or injury, while on its premises or attending its activities at Curious Chords Music Studio.
Termination Policy
Parents must provide 30 days notice in writing by email before discontinuing their classes. No refunds are provided for remaining monthly tuition.
Recitals
Recitals are a very important part of our studio. There will be two annual recitals, one in the Winter and one in the Summer.
There is a $40 recital fee per recital per student. The recital fee is due the first day of November and May, and is non-refundable. This fee will be debited with the students tuition in November and May.
Holidays and Calendar
Please review our current calendar for closure dates and special events. It is the customer's responsibility to know the closed and open dates for classes.
