Catherine Clarke (BM Vocal Performance) - is a recent graduate of Texas State University-San Marcos with a degree in Vocal Performance. She was awarded first place at the Tri-State National Association of Teachers of Singing competition for five years, at the Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Graduate levels. Along with receiving first place at the Graduate level, she was also presented with the Grady Harlan award which acknowledges the singer with the voice that shows the most promise for a professional career. Ms. Clarke was chosen as the winner of the Texas State Concerto and Aria competition in the spring of 2009 and performed an aria accompanied by the Texas State University Orchestra. She was chosen as a featured young artist at the prestigious Victoria Bach Festival, where she performed with professional musicians from across America. Ms. Clarke has had the honor of singing the Star Spangled Banner at all recent commencement ceremonies held at Texas State University. Most recently, she was chosen as the soprano soloist in Texas State University's fully staged production of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, which included a full orchestra, choir, dance troupe, and professional Baritone and Tenor soloists. Ms. Clarke is also a member of the esteemed Texas State Chorale, and recently had the honor of performing on a tour in South Africa with them.  As well as teaching classical voice, Catherine enjoys teaching even the youngest child music through Kindermusik and Music for Little Mozarts.
