Zach Landreneau (BM Jazz Piano Performance) - is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Lake Charles, Louisiana. He has been studying piano since he was four and guitar since he was twelve. In 1997, Zach was one of 200 Louisiana high school students that graduated from Louisiana School for Math, Science.
At LSMSA, he studied piano with Dr. Charles Jones, and composition/classical guitar with Dr. Mark Francis. During a summer session, he had the opportunity to study at Eastman School of Music with John Nyerges and Michael Cain. In 2002 he graduated from the University of North Texas where he majored in Jazz Piano Performance. At North Texas, he studied with renowned jazz educator Dan Haerle. After college, Zach went on to complete a recording engineer program offered by the Los Angeles Recording School. He then interned with Ronin Chris Murphy at Veneto West recording studio. Zach has performed, recorded, and taught private lessons in Los Angeles, New York City, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area for seven years. He has performed at red carpet Hollywood boulevard film events, toured multiple states, and has experience busking in the NYC subway systems. Zach also has extensive experience as a dance accompanist for Texas Woman’s University and UNT as a pianist and percussionist using live electronics in modern dance, ballet, and African dance class. As an active member of the Texas musical community, he is involved with local songwriters here as well as continuing to develop his own original material. When not working, recording, or performing, Zach loves to spend his time fishing on Toledo Bend with his family.
