Richard Trammell (BM Vocal Performance) - is a recent graduate of Texas State University-San Marcos with a degree in Vocal Performance, where he performed extensively with many of their choral ensembles and the Texas State Opera. He was awarded first place at the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition from 2009-2011 at the Freshman, Sophomore, Junior levels. Along with receiving first place at the various levels, Mr. Trammell was selected as the recipient of the Herald Stark Achievement award for outstanding vocal promise. In 2011, Mr. Trammell was invited to be a featured guest soloist for the Mid-Texas Symphony. That same year, he was selected as a member of the National ACDA collegiate honor choir, held in Denver, CO. Mr. Trammell has had the honor of singing the Alma Mater at all recent commencement ceremonies held at Texas State University. Most recently, he was a featured chorus member with the Austin Lyric Opera for their 2013-2014 season. Currently, Mr. Trammell is the co-director for First Christian Church Music Ministry in San Marcos, TX. Mr. Trammell recently received his EC-12 Music certification in Texas before joining the team at Curious Chords. Mr. Trammell is also a member of TMEA and NATS and enjoys serving as a judge and clinician for the surrounding hill country schools. As well as teaching, Richard enjoys performing, photography, volunteering, and spending time with his wife Sara (MS Choir Director) and two dogs, Tucker and Ella .
