Asael Marquez began playing saxophone at the church since he was 12 years old. He soon realized music was a vehicle in which to learn and grow as an individual in all aspects of your life. This is where his love and passion for teaching began. Since then, he has taken mentor-ship roles for many students in church groups, middle schools and high schools, teaching the importance of becoming, not only musicians, but life-long learners.
Asael furthered his knowledge by attending the University of North Texas where he received a bachelor's in Music Education. Since graduation, he has taught 6th through 12th graders. Instruments ranging from saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano and guitar.
Asael Marquez is currently a graduate student at Texas State University, studying Jazz Saxophone Performance.
