It all started when…

Danielle Payne is a Senior Music Studies major and Theatre minor, at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX studying as a Lyric Mezzo Soprano. Originally from Georgetown, TX, she was in Choir, Theatre, Soccer, Golf, and Volleyball. Danielle has had vocal training from many well established coaches around the nation, emphasizing artistry in different genres of music including classical, pop, musical theatre, singer/songwriter, and jazz, as well as piano and music theory. At Texas State she started out as a Vocal Performance major, but through her time at Texas State she realized her love and passion for the developing mind. The thought of helping young minds grow through music inspires her more every day! She has spent her time volunteering at summer choir camps at High Schools, Middle Schools, and at the University level. In early 2016 Danielle was a student performer in Angel Fountain Education Endowment’s “On Broadway.” Danielle has been a member of the Texas State Women’s Choir, Texas State University Singers, and is now a member of both Texas State Chorale and VocaLibre. She is also one of a few Ambassadors for the Texas State School of Music. She also serves on the executive board for the Texas State University chapter of the American Choral Directors Association as the Vice President. Danielle also holds a membership with the Texas Music Educators Association, and is a national member of the American Choral Directors Association. Among all these responsibilities Danielle currently sings as a vocal scholar at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and School in Wimberley, TX.
