Anita Williams (BA Music Education, Baylor University, piano and choral emphasis) - Anita began teaching piano lessons at age 13 to neighborhood children in Port Arthur, TX. She has continued to share her love of music, teaching 6 years in public schools, serving three churches as minister of music, accompanying high school choirs, churches, Oklahoma Baptist University choirs, numerous UIL soloists, and continuing as a private piano teacher for over 40 years. Anita has led several seminars for church accompanists and while living in Hong Kong, chaired the ecumenical committee that brought Mark Hayes there to lead a huge choral workshop/concert and piano improvisation workshop. Currently a member of MTNA and ADMTA, Anita has also served as president and vice-president, respectively, of Shawnee, Oklahoma MTA and Richardson MTA. Anita lives in San Marcos and has three adult children. Other interests include gardening, scrapbooking, cooking, and travel.
